Norton Power Eraser é oferecido actualmente como uma versão beta, como parte da colecção de ferramentas Norton Rescue. O programa apresenta uma interface simples, com opções de inicialização para fazer a pesquisa de um sistema ou desfazer as alterações que foram feitas em sessões anteriores.

É possível realizar uma pesquisa completa do sistema ou directoria. A verificação do sistema vai verificar automaticamente os locais mais importantes, enquanto que a pesquisa em directorias apenas a pasta verifica a pasta escolhida.
Os resultados da verificação são exibidos depois, com opções para remover programas do sistema. Norton lembra ao usuário que o programa usa scan agressivo com configurações que podem levar a falsos positivos, como pode ser visto na imagem acima.
